For this boiler replacement on Mayo Avenue in the Belle Haven section of Greenwich, the customer chose to be proactive rather than wait for a heating failure. The existing TriangleTube boilers were becoming a long-term reliability and support concern because parts and technical support were no longer available, and certain affected models had safety-kit/recall-related concerns.
After the property manager reviewed the situation with the homeowner, the decision was made to replace the boilers with new IBC wall-hung boilers. This gave the property a safer, better-supported heating setup with current equipment and a clear path for future service.
Greenwich HVAC installed the new boilers, new primary circulators, and reconnected the system to the existing water lines, electrical, gas, and flue piping. We also rewired the low-voltage control wiring so the new equipment could operate cleanly with the existing heating system.
Once the installation was complete, the boilers were started, tested, and checked for proper operation. The result is a cleaner, more serviceable boiler system with improved long-term reliability for the homeowner and property manager.
