A Belle Haven homeowner wanted to be proactive about replacing aging first-floor HVAC equipment before a serious failure occurred. The existing system was older, parts availability was becoming a concern, and the customer wanted a more reliable solution with a new equipment warranty.
Greenwich HVAC replaced the first-floor air handler and outdoor condensing unit with a new American Standard system, including a variable-speed air handler and multi-speed condensing unit. The project also included updating the zoning controls with a Honeywell zone panel, reconnecting to the existing ductwork, and tying the new equipment back into the existing hydro coil.
To improve indoor air quality, we installed an American Standard electronic air cleaner and a Reme LED UV light. We also installed a new condensate pump, corrected existing wiring, and fabricated custom sheet metal transitions so the new equipment could be properly adapted to the existing ductwork.
The result was a cleaner, more reliable first-floor comfort system with improved indoor air quality, updated controls, and the protection of a new equipment warranty.
