American Standard Silver Series outdoor condensing unit showing brand badge at East Putnam Avenue in Cos Cob, Greenwich, CT

This HVAC equipment replacement on East Putnam Avenue in Cos Cob, Greenwich, CT brought new American Standard outdoor and indoor equipment online in September 2026. Greenwich HVAC handled the condenser, air handler, and mechanical-space finish details as one matched replacement.

American Standard Air Handler and Silver Series Condenser

Outdoors, we installed an American Standard Silver Series condenser rated about 14.3 SEER2 on a new pad over crushed stone, with a new line set, insulated suction line, and a properly landed disconnect.

Indoors, we set a new American Standard horizontal air handler in a secondary drain pan and tied in condensate piping with a P-trap and overflow float switch. Ductwork in the mechanical space was finished with foil insulation.

We utilized the home’s existing controls so the customer did not have to replace that hardware, which helped keep the project cost down. After startup and testing, the Cos Cob home was cooling cleanly on the new American Standard system.

Carrier Infinity outdoor unit on a new pad at MacPherson Drive in Greenwich, CT

This HVAC system replacement on MacPherson Drive in Greenwich, CT followed a failed compressor on an aging Carrier Infinity system. Given the age of the equipment, repairing the outdoor unit alone was not the smarter long-term path, so the homeowner chose a full system replacement.

Carrier Infinity Air Handler, Outdoor Unit, and Controller Replacement

Greenwich HVAC installed a new Carrier Infinity air handler, outdoor unit, and Infinity controller so the home stayed on a matched communicating system. Indoors, we adapted the new air handler to the existing ductwork with a custom sheet-metal transition, set it in a secondary drain pan, and tied in condensate piping with a condensate pump.

Outdoors, we installed the new condenser on a new equipment pad and leveled it, then completed the line set and electrical disconnect work. The old controller was no longer compatible with the new equipment, so we installed a new Infinity controller and ran a full software update until everything was communicating properly.

After startup and testing, both air conditioning and hydro heat were back up and running.
